ひとつの死を前に 周りがどう動くか
それを身近でじっくりと 観察する機会を得た…
Before a death, how people react…
we had an opportunity to observe close.
誰もこころ落ち着いてはいないが
それでも 比較的穏やかに 日々を過ごせる者と
不安にのまれ 自分のことをすべて放棄していく者
逝く者は どちらを望んでいるだろうか…
For certain, nobody was fine,
yet some could spend their days relatively calm
while some abandon all their own, overwhelmed by grief.
Which does the person seriously ill wish?
俯瞰して「全体」を観る
これができれば
そこにある事象をより正確に読める
それには 距離をとることだ
Grasp “the whole” with a bird’s eye view.
Doing this, you can read a phenomenon more properly.
So, take a distance from it.
その状況に入り込み
視野狭く 感情だけで動いては
大事なことを観逃す…
そして 感情的な言いわけが多くなる
You will miss something essential…
when you have a narrow outlook and act only from emotion
as the result of being deep into the situation.
Then, you start making many sentimental excuses.
そこに固執し続けだす…
You’ll get more stuck into it…
感情を消せ と言っているのではない
生きていれば 色んな想いが湧く
We’re not saying here to delete emotion.
As long as we live, many feelings spring up in us.
ただ そこに流されない強さも ひとにはある
それには 自分の感情を含めた
物ごとの「全体像」を掴むことだ だから俯瞰を!!
Though, we have strength not to be washed away by those.
It’s held by “the whole view” on things, inc. our emotion.
So, have an aerial view!!
それには 瞑想だ
For it, meditate.
浮んでくる感情を汲み 流し それを繰り返す
自分を客観視する ひとつ ふたつ… 外から眺める
まわりの状況を加味して 広く「自己」を捉える
Allow any emotion to come and go, just repeatedly.
Observe yourself objectively, more and more away… from the outside.
Catch the “self” holistically with circumstances.
そうすれば 冷静な判断ができる
言いわけではなく そこにあるのは 覚悟の選択だ
たとえ失敗しても それがそのときの最善
ひとは明らめ 次に臨める
Then, you can make a calm judgment.
No more excuses, but there are resolve and choice.
Even if it becomes a mistake, it’s the best way for you at the time.
Cheerfully, you can move on next.
